Luthien: free bird.

This is Luthien once again! In fact, it's a celebration! I decided to dedicate a new drawing to Luthien in honor of the 300th favorite of her older piece: [link]

That was my first work to ever reach 300 favs!

And, of course, the people get what they want.

This is also a direct sequel to that drawing, this is the moment she looks back to her home, leaves the past behind and goes on, to decide her own fate.

The intention here was to make her look a bit like Arwen, since they're related.

and obviously I wouldn't be in my right mind if I didn't hide a in the middle of all the hair. It wouldn't be right not to do all that hair, too. I'm addicted to drawing hair. It's so nice.




here's a bit of the background story:

Initially it was Beren who saw Lúthien dancing from afar under moonrise beside the Glades of Esgalduin in her father's forest. From the moment he saw her with his eyes he loved her, for she was the most beautiful of all Elves and Men, the fairest of all the Children of the World. He longed for her in his heart calling her Tinúviel, an Elvish (Sindarin) name which means "Daughter of Twilight" signifying Nightingale and searched for her. - from wikipedia.
